Our story
and mission
Napier was born from real experiences of family and community groups who struggled with governance, record keeping, transparency, and trust. We are building a private group platform where families, communities, and member-led groups can grow together through clear records, accountable leadership, structured lending, and shared investment.
Built from real community experience.
Napier was born from real experiences of family and community groups who struggled with governance, record keeping, transparency, and trust. After seeing these challenges firsthand, we envisioned a system where families and communities could grow together through disciplined savings, structured lending, shared investment, and better accountability.
Inspired by the wisdom of “Muvandi Kitothya” — the traditional Napier planter who provided nourishment for livestock — the Napier platform believes in nurturing people, building each other, and creating a stable foundation for growth.
Make group growth clearer, safer, and more accountable.
To empower families and communities with transparent tools that support savings, lending, investment, and governance — allowing groups to prosper together with trust and accountability.
Built on unity, trust, and community strength.
These values shape how we design Napier and how we think about private group growth.
Transparency
Every member deserves clear, accessible information.
Accountability
Leadership and members alike must uphold integrity.
Unity
We grow stronger when we grow together.
Innovation
Tools should simplify complex financial and governance systems.
Respect
Members, sponsors, leaders, and families deserve dignity.
Nothing should get lost when groups grow.
For years, family and community groups have struggled with issues that weaken trust and slow down progress.
- Poor record keeping
- Lost or unclear contributions
- Mismanaged loans and repayments
- Lack of transparency in leadership
- Unstructured investment decisions
- No clear way to track member growth or group health
Napier solves these challenges by giving every group a clear, auditable, and intuitive platform where records are organized, responsibilities are visible, and members can remain accountable.

From family lessons to a digital model for sustainable community finance.
Napier began as a lived research journey into ubuntu, black tax, trust, governance, informal lending, and the collapse of family-based financial systems when structure is missing. That research became the foundation for the Napier Platform.
The paper traces the original Napier Group experience, the lessons learned through Ebenezer Group, and the design thinking that shaped Napier into a private group management and record-keeping platform.
This resource is shared for background and learning purposes. It is not legal, financial, tax, credit, or investment advice.
A legacy planted in trust.
Before Napier became software, it was a family story — a story of Muvandi Kitothya, ubuntu, generosity, silence, reflection, Ebenezer, and rebuilding with clearer structure.
